New Word

Yesterday you said this word and I feel over laughing. You were so cute when you said it as well. Today I had to get it on film. I kinda forced you to say it but still cute

Nap time

Today you weren't tired around nap time. You had relaxed and slept in your room till about 8a.m. so it wasn't a surprise. I wasn't changing out schedule so down you went. I found you relaxing on our bed again. You were sweet and just relaxing there. I took you back to bed and laid down with you for a few minutes. You were talking up a storm. Not hyper but just chatty. You looked at me and said "Your pretty mama" as you took your sweet little hand and stroked my face. Ahhh I melted! You also looked at me and said "Daddy is my best friend" and when I asked if I could be too you said "Yes" You were fascinated with my hair and kept asking about the hairband I had. "Where did you get that mama?" Then you went on to talk about random things like. "You have two ears mama. Daddy does too." At that time I knew it was time to check out and let you nap. Hopefully you fall asleep for a little bit. If not, let the fun continue... we will go outside and play.

Just a few notes

Tonight I put you to bed. You weren't ready but it was time. You actually came downstairs about 30 minutes later to say hi. That is a first. I went back upstairs with you and put you back to bed.

About another 20 minutes later I heard some noise. I went upstairs to find your door open. It was dark up there so turned on the bathroom light. I saw your little body sitting on my bed in all the pillows next to Coco. I went in there and sat next to you. you told me that you were looking out the window at the moon. You wanted to lay in my bed. It was so sweet, so innocent and cute. From there we went back to your room and you talked and talked. You really weren't talking to me but practicing putting your sentences together. You were repeating the same things over and over.


Last night you spend at Maga and Papa's house. From what I heard, you were no where to be found in the morning. Maga called out your name and you said "I'm hiding in the closet" you were in there with your dee tee and turtle hanging out. Who knows how long you had been hiding.

Also just as a note, i love the way you say dinosaur. DINOSWORDS. RAWR!

Big Bad Wolf

Miles saw one episode of wonder pets on tv about the big bad wolf and couldn't stop talking about it. Now he pretends all the time that he is the wolf and blows our house down.

Funny Things...

You are beyond talking up a storm lately. Full concepts, feelings and pretending!  We spent today playing hide and go seek. I love that you tell me where you want me to hide "Mama, you go hide in the tub"  and then count and hide your eyes.  You have a few hiding spots. I think it is about 3. You rotate between them. I pretend I don't know where are and when I ask out loud "Is Miles in here?"  I hear your little voice "No Mama!"  and giggle.

At bath today your imagination kicked into overdrive. I have video but not going to make that public. I think we can giggle at that in the comfort of our own home. 

"You be Zurg Mama" " Me Buzz Lightyear"   and you grab your arm and shoot your laser at me.  I was laughing so hard. 

Taking the octopus and talking to the duck  "Hi little Ghost.   Hi Little Ghost. How was your day?  Oh No... bunch of wawa in there"   "You need wawa duck?" "Want this wawa?"

"Car is going to get ice"  "Walrus, Walrus, where are you Walrus?"  " You need ice?"  "Car get ice Walrus" 


At bed after our books were read and we snuggled in bed... we move onto talking about all the stuff we did today you made me giggle again.  I mentioned how you went to Daddy's work. Right away you said. "M&Ms!" 


"Did you eat M&Ms at Daddy's work?"
"Daddy said NO, Daddy said NO M&Ms"
" How did that make you feel?"
"Sad" 

Then we went on to talking about eating his nose. How quickly they bounce back.
But wow Daddy you are heartless;)  that kid doesn't forget a THING!  Then as I was leaving he asked me to cuddle and to sleep in his big boy bed with him. It is SO HARD to say no but I do. You ask me every night and I know if I do we will start a terrible habit.  But the fact you even want me around it enough to make me smile.

Random Bits

1. Yesterday you told me you were frustrated. So cute and appropriate given the fact you were trying to fit together a puzzle.

2. This morning you ran down into the garage and grabbed your little broom. You then took it upstairs and used the end of it to try to get a toy that you just lost under the couch. I am still in shock that you figured this out on your own but impressed with your skill in figuring it out.

3. On a drive to get lunch yesterday Daddy and I were talking in the front seat. We weren't paying attention to you so instead of chanting "Daddy" over and over you threw in "Evan.... Daddy... Evan" I died!

What's Up Baby!

Miles is always saying "What's up Daddy!" whenever he talks to his Daddy. I thought he should start to learn how to work it with the ladies.

Last night Miles was saying "buzz I like you"  or that is at least what we thought he was saying. This morning Evan realized he was saying "Buzz Lightyear!"  had to get it on video

So Talkative

Miles talks so much. Seriously I can't go anywhere without this guy babbling up a storm and someone commenting on it.

He currently is in love with Toy Story.  He can name all the characters that came in a little set we picked up. (see video below)  He takes at least 2 to bed/nap with him a day.

He is also into animals still so naming them all is a frequent game.  He LOVES the neigh of the horse and the BAAAH of the sheep. He makes his squinty smile face when he makes those noises.

MINGO MINGO

I have been trying to blog more but getting back in shape (running) getting the photography business going and keeping up with an 18 month old can be draining!

Miles is learning new words all the time. Some are sweet, some make me laugh. Lately he says "OPEN" and waves his arms like he is a magician to open doors, elevators or the garage door. So commanding!

I have to say that flamingo is one of my favorites as of late. We went to the zoo to see them after he took an interest in the animal. We have a set of animal flashcards and he loves to go through them. Hippo, Flamingo and Snake are some of the new ones he loves.

Miles has a new word. MUSIC... doesn't sound too much like it but I know what he is saying. He also has learned the sign for it and is using that at times. Either way I want to eat him up
