Okay so I could have put this in the last post, but it warrants it's own.
Last night when you were in the tub you looked at me and signed "potty" I took you out and put you on your little potty and you went! You giggled as you realized what you were doing and when you were done had a huge smile on your face. After that, back to the tub.
Sorry no picture to go along with this post ;)

Sicky, Drooly, Snotty
You weren't feeling so well today. I heard you coughing in your sleep so I figured today wouldn't be the best.
We watched, um some NEMO maybe? and visited Daddy at his office to bring lunch.
I snapped this shot of you as you gazed off with drool and snot running down your sweet face. I have been working on lighting and really liked how the window light and a few stops down gave me this.
Here is to tomorrow morning. I hope you feel better. I haven't heard much coughing tonight. If not, more blueberries, nemo and some oj/carrot juice (yeah you got some today and LOVED it)

Blueberry... you might pull a Violet Beauregarde
Blueberries are you favorite as of late. You say "b bubl" to ask for them. It kinda sounds like bubble but I can tell the difference. I am your mama!
For dinner tonight it was all you ate. At this rate you are going to turn into an antioxidant or swell like Violet did in my childhood favorite "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" I think we almost broke that VHS with the wear and tear of daily watchings.

Latch
Miles is so curious about the small things. He spends times on latches and hatches, drawers and doors. Here is a quick video of him working on the latch on his push-car.

It is because of you....
It is because of you. It is ALWAYS because of you and I love it.
After you were born, roughly 2 months later I sat down and made a list of items that I really found helpful with your feisty newborn self. There was so much out there and with a lot of my friends moving into mommy-hood, I thought that this list might help them. I wrote it up and sent it off to friends one by one as they shared the amazing news of their pregnancies with me. I was overjoyed for them to experience what you had brought into my life and if this list could ease any stress then it was the best gift I could give. Mothers should be able to cherish those first few months but instead end up stressing so much that the amazing moments get overlooked at times.
Either way, One of the friends gave the list to her writer/friend at the L.A. Times. I guess she liked it because she interviewed me about some blankets (article here) that I spoke about in the list. From there, from what I hear, readers asked to see the full list as referenced in the article.
It was printed and it seems kinda crazy that my little list ended up out there for other moms to read.
Either way, it was all because of you. I hope this list brings other mommy's closer to stress free days and nights.
I love you more oodles than noodles Miles!

Peanut Butter
Miles was loving the peanut butter this morning. So hard to get good shots in the kitchen as the morning light is on the other side of our house in the morning.
I also have to get a shot of you on the bike. I have been riding the beach cruiser all over with you and you love it. Every time I try to stop you tell me more. You giggle when we rollover bumps and are content watching all the stuff fly by. Mommy likes the workout. Can't wait to hit the beach soon.

All Because of You
Dear Miles,
I say I love you as many times a day as I can. It still doesn't feel like enough.
You have changed my life in so many ways. Some very obvious, like learning how to change a diaper in record setting time and showering faster than I ever though possible. I have also come to love what you love. Goldfish crackers, Finding Nemo and afternoon naps.
The one thing you did that you might not know is re-ignited my love for photography. I was learning, taking classes and snapping shots before I got married. Once we started the business things got a bit crazy and I stepped away for a while. Then I jumped into the digital world with a Canon 40D. I wasn't too keen on it. It felt different than my film camera and put it away for a while.
Once I found out I was pregnant I knew I would want to document your life every step of the way. I took out the camera and started shooting.
Thanks to you I have now focused my passion and am working toward a goal. This website was inspired by you.

I started shooting....
I learned a bit more....
And I continue to learn....
I love you Miles for many reasons. This one is because you inspire me. To learn, to create and to further myself. I will continue this and now you realize that you have only but yourself to blame for the lens in your face oh so much.

Long Beach Sunday
Today we went to LB again because the Nemo obsession hasn't shown any signs of wavering.
Auntie Megan was awesome enough to bring your cousin Grace and baby Jack to join us.
You gave Jack a sweet kiss and you followed Grace everywhere. She made you laugh over and over again.
You passed out in the car and ended up with me waking you at 5:30 from your nap only to return to bed at 7:15. Needless to say hanging out with Gracie was so fun!
You gave into ketchup today. You had tried it a few times but today you LOVED It. I think it is all the hype Uncle Paul has been talking in your ear. Daddy has a video he will post.
Here is one shot of you diving in
All in all you were a happy boy today.
Below is a flickr web gallery of some shots from today

15 Month Dr. Appointment
Miles is 25 pounds of cuteness and 31 inches tall. 50% in both but that is the only "average" thing about him.
More shots today. Nothing that a graham cracker couldn't fix. You would say "more, more" while I was driving and and your little hand would reach around your car seat to grab it from me.
Trying to hard to say Roscoe... Miles is calling roscoe "Robbie" which is really funn but at least he is trying!
I also had a first today. It was the first time I washed a hot wheels car. I am sure it won't be the last one I find in the basin.

15 Months Old Today
Dear Miles,
You are 15 months old today and officially in my eyes a toddler. You are a growing person with a ton of energy and your own little personality. some of your latest endeavors include
Picking up new signs like "baby", "help", "fish" and "bath"
Your vocab includes the following
- ball
- please (sounds like bees and is too cute!) you say it when you really want something
- up
- help (kinda sounds like UP)
- milk
- apple
- banana
- moo
- coco
- cat
- wa wa
- duck
- bubble
- cheese
- more
- tattoo
- dada
- mama
- baba
- GO!
- Nice
- fish
- shoes
- Uh- Oh
- De-Ti ( monkey)
- back
- book
- No
- Yes
Walking and almost full out running you are tackling everything. You can climb like a monkey. You actually climbed into the master bath the other day. You have given up the bottle. It has been a full week and it only took 4 days before you stopped crying every morning for it.
You splash like a crazy person in the tub and it makes you laugh so hard when you do. I am soaked from head to toe by the time you are done but I just can't stop you. You are having too much fun. What harm does a little water do?
You have been teething all month. 4 molars and now you are getting another bottom tooth. 12 teeth in total. I hope month 16 you get a little relief from it. It doesn't bother your sleeping very much thank goodness.
When we are out running around you love to use your words. At the grocery store you saw all teh beer kept repeating "baba, baba, baba" and when we went for a walk and were window shopping you pointed out all the shoes to me. Every dog is Coco. You have been trying to say Roscoe but to no avail. It is cute to see you try though.
You are putting some words together. "More cheese" or "Milk Please" it is so helpful to know what you want and to see your face light up when I understand you is priceless.
You kiss now. You don't do it on command :) but you do it when you want to. The other day coco kissed me and then you kissed coco. She licked your face in return and you giggled. I wished I could have captured that moment.
You like to take things out and put them back where you found them. You tell me as you do this "Duck, Back" You like to read
I am no home full time and able to spend all the time in the world with you. Get Ready!
Love you more Oodles than Noodles,
Mama
