Little things

It is the little things you say that get me through the day!

Today you told me your name was "lion. Roar!!!!"

You also mentioned after nap you were going downstairs and "Mama stay in my roo" (room) I died

As I was putting you to bed you wanted me to read the same "Little Boy" book a few times. You made sure I went SLOW and you pointed out everything on the page.

As I was "skaching (scratch) your back" per request in your crib, you asked "Eat Bacon?" Um yeah random request before bed but not totally off the mark considering you skipped lunch and dinner and lived on a few fruit rolls.

You pretend now. You put me down for nap today in your room complete with 4 dee tees and 6 blankets. You turned on the sound machine and said "goodnight" and left me in your room all by myself. Seconds later you came back in "good morning mama"

Angry Birds

Miles is actually kinda good at angry birds. Evan on the other hand isn't so good at using the video on his "amazing" phone.

Christmas Tree

We got a christmas tree last week and I documented every step of the way. You LOVE it. Visiting the tree through out the day to show me the lights and the ornaments.

at the end of the day. Picking a tree is hard work.

Daddy!!!! I want THIS tree. Miles runs everywhere.

Hipster

Haircut

Today he had a haircut. It wasn't planned and was fast. You were playing with a bubble fan and next thing I knew you turned around and said "mommy help" the bubble fan wand thingie was sticking out of the side of your head. I couldn't stop laughing. I got it free without scissors but let you walk around with an awesome dread for a while. Auntie Megan distracted you when I snipped. You can't tell a bit because you have Sooo much long hair. I am sure this is the first of many trims to come.

Cute things you say

You are coming up with cute sayings daily. I have to start keeping track!

You grabbed my hand "come with mr mama" and walked me to the christmas tree and say "look! Lights! Don't touch mama... Be cool!"

I wake you up from your nap you are all groggy and messy haired. You sit up and say " thinking mama" ad you tap your finger on your mouth

Lately you walk up to me and say "big cookie mama!" and you pretend to eat my arm, face ... Etc

Oh so many more! I will have to keep writing them down

From airplanes to boats

Today was a normal Monday. After having daddy home for 4 days I was spoiled. I missed him today.

We saw some airplanes take off today and grabbed a 'nonut' for a snack. You looked at me as I tried to get you in your car seat and said " deep breath mommy" I died! We also picked up some presents and you rode a few rides at the mall. 3...2...1 blast off!!! The rocket was your favorite and I have to pry you out!

Yo gabba

The show wad great! You loved it and wanted more. You only wanted to see the crew. None of the in-between stuff. You lived when they dropped balloons on us and clapped at the songs you recognized.

Tuesday

This morning I thought about what was going on for the day. I like to have some outing planned for the day to get Miles out and entertained (well actually exhausted!) I had playgroup for after nap and was kinda feeling like we should get out. My friend posted something about travel town... why not go today? So we jumped in the car and were there in 30 minutes. He LOVED it. Trains and more trains. Just hard for a 2 year old, when you can't climb on EVERYTHING in sight.

Christmas gifts

Today we made some Christmas gifts. I don't know if I will be able to part with any! We pick them up next week so we will see how they turn out!

Storytime

Today was a tough one. At school when I picked you up it was all better. You were just about to leave when one of the boys said "wait!" and ran up to you and gave you a huge hug. You reciprocated. That triggered another boy to run over and hug you. It was so sweet. I do have to say I live walking in and hearing all the little voices say "miles is here!" or " miles your mommy is back!" school is so wonderful for you right now.

Tonight you got 4 books before bed. I am a sucker since you wanted to sit on my lap the while time. I also think it had to do with the fact I finally didn't have to read the toy story book! Phew.

Again

Today we hit the aquarium with friends, chipotle and pinkberry all by noon.

You were so excited to see the sharks today. You talked about it all the way out there.
