Keep Cool

So hot these days. So had some Culver City mommy friends come over to stay cool in the pool.
Both Anna and Kirsten were first time swimmers so it was well documented!


Miles seriously keep trying to drink the pool water. He does the same thing in the bath.

Sleepy Boy

Miles got up this am at 6. Totally foiled my plans to get in a shower and get ready before the morning chaos.

He got all crank-tired so sleep was in order. Dad was sad because he missed his morning time with him, especially since he will be out of town for a few days at Comic-con.

I went off to work. Daddy stayed home to keep his drop-off daycare duty. Little did we know that Miles would sleep till 10:30. No better way than a 2 1/2 hour nap to start your day.

LA Zoo

First Trip to the Zoo this weekend. It was HOT HOT HOT but we enjoyed it.

From the seals to the giraffes Miles was just open mouthed and in awe of the animals. That is until we got to the chimps. They went crazy. Pounding fits, fighting and running all over the yard. Miles started to get freaked out so we moved on to the next.

Miles slept like a rock that night (15 1/2 hours) so maybe we will be hitting the Zoo again real soon!

quick read with mommy but why would you, so many other things to do!

9 Months Old

Dear Miles,

What a crazy month! You got a second tooth. Flew to Denver for a trip. Took your first camping trip. Got your first full dunk in the pool. First 4th of July. Had a visit from your Grandparents. Started daycare. Tried some new foods and as of yesterday are getting your third tooth!

I love how you laugh in excitement when I get on all fours and chase you around. You point at everything. Your chuckle is the best. Bathtime is getting hard because you only sit still for so long. Not a huge breakfast fan but at times you can clear me out at dinner.

You bury your head in my shoulder when you pretend to be shy, but you are just flirting. You love the cat. I think you are the only one she likes. You watch her move and chase her around. She greets you at bath time and let's you pet her.

I ask every month but I will ask it again. SLOW DOWN!
