Brownies

Miles loves to be in the kitchen. Always has. He lately loves mixing. He has developed a love for my KitchenAid. Today he pushed his little step stool up to it and said "I gotta mix" so what is a pregnant girl to do but bust out the brownie mix. We were both happy within minutes.

Snow Day

On Monday we went to Kidspace with some good friends. It was a snow day there so you got your winter fix of the cold white stuff while we were there. You ran around and I could barely keep up with the crowd. You were excited to see a "snowman" and saved a chair during snack for Gracie to sit by you. You enjoyed "Party Time" and were so cute as you danced to the music.

Random Bits

1. Yesterday you told me you were frustrated. So cute and appropriate given the fact you were trying to fit together a puzzle.

2. This morning you ran down into the garage and grabbed your little broom. You then took it upstairs and used the end of it to try to get a toy that you just lost under the couch. I am still in shock that you figured this out on your own but impressed with your skill in figuring it out.

3. On a drive to get lunch yesterday Daddy and I were talking in the front seat. We weren't paying attention to you so instead of chanting "Daddy" over and over you threw in "Evan.... Daddy... Evan" I died!

Birthday Video

okay so i never posted birthday photos or videos... go figure.

A great friend took this video of miles singing at the party. He still sings "Happy Birthday" when you ask him to "sing you a song" So stinking cute!  Now he sings "happy birthday mommydaddy" as if we are one person.  I love it.

Another Day

Today was another day. We ran some errands and after nap you had a great surprise! Daddy was home! You ran downstairs to see him and found the tools out in the garage. You joined in the fun. Nothing like a bit of dirt and grease.

First Trip to Disneyland

Last week Daddy took a day off of work and we went to Disneyland for the first time. I wanted to show you the Christmas decorations and thought you were ready for the excitement that it brings.

Lately you have been watching some Mickey Mouse Christmas specials so when I told you we were going to Mickey Mouse's house you were so excited. So excited in fact, you woke me up at 5 am ready to go. Learned my lesson and needless to say, I am NOT telling you the night before Christmas that Santa is coming. I want some SLEEP kid!

You handled Disneyland like a champ. No nap but it didn't phase you. We got 2 photo ops with Mickey and you absolutely loved meeting "Plunto" and talked about giving him a high-five for a few days. You also ran around Mickey's house so excited! You took it all in and made it new for me. We stopped for lunch and relaxed for a bit. After that you were ready to go on a few more rides. We hit up a lot of them, but not all. Buzz Lightyear ride was one of your favorites. You liked pirates until we hit the dips. Took a minute to get over it but when you did, you enjoyed the rest of the ride.

I used lightroom to export these puppies to Flickr and didn't realize I had my watermark turned on, I was too lazy to fix it.

Santa Time!

Sunday we went to Travel Town with the Grandparents. The wait was a bit long but having all those lights and trains around kept you happy. My photos aren't great but we did buy the blurry one they offered. You were a champ on Santa's lap. Not like last year where it was a cry-fest. This year you talked to him. Showed him the passing by train and asked for a Buzz Toy. I mean, are there any Buzz toys you don't have? Santa will have to see.

Big Help

> We put together a gingerbread train and you helped eat most of the candy. You did out in an effort and add some to the train. You were only eating the green candy.

Little things

It is the little things you say that get me through the day!

Today you told me your name was "lion. Roar!!!!"

You also mentioned after nap you were going downstairs and "Mama stay in my roo" (room) I died

As I was putting you to bed you wanted me to read the same "Little Boy" book a few times. You made sure I went SLOW and you pointed out everything on the page.

As I was "skaching (scratch) your back" per request in your crib, you asked "Eat Bacon?" Um yeah random request before bed but not totally off the mark considering you skipped lunch and dinner and lived on a few fruit rolls.

You pretend now. You put me down for nap today in your room complete with 4 dee tees and 6 blankets. You turned on the sound machine and said "goodnight" and left me in your room all by myself. Seconds later you came back in "good morning mama"

Angry Birds

Miles is actually kinda good at angry birds. Evan on the other hand isn't so good at using the video on his "amazing" phone.

Christmas Tree

We got a christmas tree last week and I documented every step of the way. You LOVE it. Visiting the tree through out the day to show me the lights and the ornaments.
at the end of the day. Picking a tree is hard work.

Daddy!!!! I want THIS tree. Miles runs everywhere.

Haircut

Today he had a haircut. It wasn't planned and was fast. You were playing with a bubble fan and next thing I knew you turned around and said "mommy help" the bubble fan wand thingie was sticking out of the side of your head. I couldn't stop laughing. I got it free without scissors but let you walk around with an awesome dread for a while. Auntie Megan distracted you when I snipped. You can't tell a bit because you have Sooo much long hair. I am sure this is the first of many trims to come.

Cute things you say

You are coming up with cute sayings daily. I have to start keeping track!

You grabbed my hand "come with mr mama" and walked me to the christmas tree and say "look! Lights! Don't touch mama... Be cool!"

I wake you up from your nap you are all groggy and messy haired. You sit up and say " thinking mama" ad you tap your finger on your mouth

Lately you walk up to me and say "big cookie mama!" and you pretend to eat my arm, face ... Etc

Oh so many more! I will have to keep writing them down
