5 Year Anniversary

Evan and I have been together for 5 years. Instead of celebrating on our actual anniversary we went a weekend early to San Diego. Left early on Friday and spent the night in Downtown SD. Sea World bright and early. You loved the fish and the water shooting out of the ground at the playground made your day. You left SOAKED. I knew it was coming so I brought extra clothes. I wasn't about to deprive you from that joy. We didn't hit up shows because you just aren't that patient yet.  We did see a helicopter in the beluga whale exibit and that was a huge highlight for you. We had to go back and check it out again only because you asked so many times. The photos of you and I in front of the "copter" say it all.  You were so happy you were smiling and shaking your arms.  I almost couldn't keep a straight face. Some Mexican food for dinner and then off to bed.

The next day we hit up the Wild Animal Park. You liked it but Sea World was more your speed. I can't wait to go back and see it all again with you.

Old Photos Uncovered!

Uploaded some shots from a point-and-shoot that we NEVER use and found a few old photos.

Makes me realize how much Miles has grown.  Most of these are from January through March.

Miles is excited for Memorial Day Weekend ...

because he gets to spend 3  days with daddy

Dance and Circles

I caught this on tape once you started turning circles for fun.  You do it all the time now. Dancing not so much.  You kinda just run in place. It makes me giggle still.

The Old Milk Song

When we went from the bottle to the sippy Miles started to sing the milk son. He doesn't do it as much. I am glad I caught it before it was gone!

Photo Booth

I have a few other fun pictures from the past but had to post this one from today.

We were just about to chat with my parents and I got this smile. This is the face he makes every time he sees a camera. CHEESE! he says and squeezes his little face so hard sometimes he shakes. He also makes this face when he is really really happy. It gets me. The ultimate is when he is running his crazy man running style (see this post) with this look on his face. I am unable to keep it together at that point.

The Orange "Chair"

This video shows Miles playing with one of his Easter gifts.  I giggle.

Peanut Butter

You love it. That is something that has been consistant.
I Finally found something that you don't just lick the peanut butter off of. Brown rice rice cakes.

Anytime I say Peanut Butter, you run to your chair and jump up. You climb in and chant "butter, butter, butter" until the snack arrives. You also know that you can't leave the chair until you have had a full cleaning. That PB is sticky stuff.

FOUND... Videos from the past

There are some videos that did not make it to post. I dug some out last night and will post them over the next day or so.

We will start with our latest travels, NOLA.  A visit to the aquarium and a rekindled love for turtles.

NOGGIN' DUDE!

So Talkative

Miles talks so much. Seriously I can't go anywhere without this guy babbling up a storm and someone commenting on it.

He currently is in love with Toy Story.  He can name all the characters that came in a little set we picked up. (see video below)  He takes at least 2 to bed/nap with him a day.

He is also into animals still so naming them all is a frequent game.  He LOVES the neigh of the horse and the BAAAH of the sheep. He makes his squinty smile face when he makes those noises.

Eyes Nose and Toes

This video is dark but I was laughing so hard in the car. Miles was pointing to his nose, ears and mouth with his toes. He makes me giggle.

Bike

Jumped on the wishbone bike today and I realized I had to lift the
seat up. It is too low for my big boy now.
You lived it and are much faster on it now. Might move to a single
wheel in the back soon.

NOLA More and More...

Miles and I went for a walk one evening. He was so excited to find rocks on the walk that it made me giggle. He then proceeded to try to put them in his "pocket" (diaper) over and over. I had to show him again where it pockets actually were. He was so cute walking in his little cut offs.

NOLA AGAIN

Finally Sleeping!  A 2 hour nap was so needed.

Nola

Spending a long weekend in New Orleans was amazing. We finally got to visit Chloe who is now 7 months. She is the happiest baby I have ever met.

Miles was a trooper as he was sleep deprived over the trip. Visiting the aquarium was his highlight as they had the biggest turtles we have seen.

Again with the Talking

Putting 2 words together and I can't stand it!  Oh so cute.

Then I finally captured this on video... i need to get one where you are standing up.  The Mingo...

When I say "stand like a flamingo!" You stand on one leg. It is so stinkin' cute!  You also were signing play over and over as we waiting for baby gym to start. You were one excited boy today.

Your Playground

Anywhere we are, itis your playground. You find delight in the coin operated cars, trucks and motorcycles even if I don't put quarters in. You climb and run giggling all the way. You are a delight. I watch you as your smiling ear to ear running like a maniac talking a mile a minute and I am so happy that I get to pick you up and kiss you all over. You aren't phased as you fall down. "Uh Oh" and back up and running.

New Trick

He likes to open doors. He finally can reach them.

Now on to another... double doors!

Normal Old Monday

Started sippin' milk watching Wubbzy. Lately that is your favorite. We then hit up home depot to get some flowers. You LOVE flowers lately and after spending the weekend at the Lemley's I wanted some flowers on our back patio too!

I have a new iphone app so i tested it out on some of the photos below.
After that we hit up Gymboree. You liked class this week, unlike last. But 10 minutes before class was over you ran to the door, pushed it open and in a sea of strollers found yours. You climbed in and said "All Done... eat... cracker" So I handed you some crackers and you dove into them like you worked up an insane appetite.

Naptime and then we hit a new park in Manhattan Beach.  Ducks and slides made you a happy kid.  Before we left for the park you put together your second set of "2 words"  we were leaving and you said " Bye Bye Coco!"  normally the only 2 words you put together is Apple Juice. You say it over and over. Funny because you don't drink it.

Beyond that I have a few videos I have been meaning to post. I will have to get on that.  This past few weeks your naps have been really short leaving me less time to sneak in a blog post.
