Static Hair

Miles and Penelope holding hands at March of Dimes

Target and GREEN!!!

You dressed yourself and picked out your own clothes the other day. ALL GREEN! Wow.

We headed to target and road the train and grabbed lunch. All in all, keeping out of the house for the painters and having a good time.

Little Pieces

Here are some little pieces of what has been going on lately

- you are doing things "all by myself" from putting on clothes to getting in your car seat. I love that you want to learn these skills. You can do so much more than people give you credit for.

- you actually pooped in the potty this week! Only once but it was a big milestone. Sitting in tub sometimes you will tell me "I have poo poo coming out my tushie" so at that point we move to the potty. You grunt like an old man why I try to keep you sitting still on the pot with a few stories.

- Last night as you were on the pot during bath time i started in on a story and you said "Mama I can't hear you down here, I am trying to poo poo" and I DIED! you wanted quite! So i obliged.

- You love to try to tell stories. Mama I want to read you a book "Once upon a time" "The End"

- Every single time I get you in or out of the car seat you talk about the chest strap buckle I fixed about a month and a half ago. "You fixed this for me Mama!" yes honey I did. We have this conversation about 4 times MINIMUM a day.

- You have gotten back on the "Will you be my best friend" question kick. I tell you "Always" now you have started to say the same.

- This is my favorite toy ever! adding Favorite to anything is another extreme you are now talking about. It is so sweet.

- You talk about times Mommy was frustrated with things and how it is bad when Roscoe pee peed in the house. I wish Roscoe would learn so quickly.

- You love pirates! From Captain Hook to the pirate book we got you for Easter, everything is Ahoy! and Mateys away! or Walk the Plank!

- Eating habits have increased. You eat almost everything I put in front of you. I get some veg in your diet now which I LOVE. Even if the raw carrots are dipped in ketchup.

- You are going to start napping at school this week. Increasing your time there so when the baby arrives you will have more time to yourself and we can balance our chaos for a while a tad better.

- You are getting the concept of baby. At least what we are talking about. You have met a few, tickled a few toes and when we ask you what noise babies make you give out a "WAHHHHH" cry face. You ask Ash to "Come out Soon" and when we went to the doctor you told everyone you wanted your baby brother to come out soon and we were there to see when we could come out. You hug my belly and sometimes kiss it. You felt him move the other day and giggled with excitement. It was so sweet. The car seat is in the car and we talk about who is going to sit there etc. I hope that your adjustment will be easy for you. I don't care how hard you make it on us. I just want to make sure you still feel as loved as you are and as special as you make everyday.

2 Days of Sun

Where we live this isn't uncommon. The weather is starting to warm up and I have to remember the sunblock more and more.

Miles went to meet up with a friend at the beach playground and had such a good time, all he keeps talking about is going back to that playground with her! I love when your child gets along with another friend's child. So much easier and enjoyable!

My Guys

Got this photo as a text while I was away. I love these guys too much.

Bubble Gun

So fun but so hard to get you to actually come inside for dinner!

Party Hat

Wanted to wear this out of the house and to the playground. Everyday with you is a party! Who am I to say no and why would I?

Pirate Ship

You used your "Mirror Glass" to keep lookout on your "Pirate Ship" bed as we sailed to the castle. You promised me that Captain Hook and Santa would be there so I was willing to go.

P.S. your pants ARE on backwards but that is only because you are now dressing yourself! You have a 50/50 chance of getting them right but most of the time you don't. I don't care and am just happy to see your growing into an independent and confident little boy.

How the day really goes

1. Eat some chocolate for breakfast

2. Go Crazy

3. Go into your kennel until Mommy is ready to deal.

Bassinet

Set this up today so that a little someone can get used to the baby gear. Looks like he enjoys the new recliner.

Happy Easter

Shot of Miles loving the Easter Bunny this year. Daddy took him to see him last week and all he can talk about now is how he wants the Easter Rabbit to come over and dye eggs with him.

Videos from the Last Week

Pirate Song you wanted to teach the kids at school. I was trying so hard not to laugh.

Your Cousin Austin taught you this... when someone tells you "You're Cute!" you now say "No... I'm Handsome!"

You now say your full name. Sometimes when I ask you my name you say "Mommy DeHaven" other times you say "Mommy Christine"

You started singing this to your soon to be baby brother and I am so glad I caught it!

Dino time!!!

We went to see the live action 20 minute Dino show today and had a blast. You were not so sure at first when all the kids started to pile in. " mama let's get outta here" but you held out with some hugs. It was worth it.

This never posted

Posted this last Friday. Never made it up.

Just a Friday with my guy. Playing and cuddling all day through. Treasuring these last few weeks with him as an only child.

Randoms

We went out of town for a few days and Maga and Papa took care of you. I sent a few bags with you so you would have some idea for how "Long" we would be gone. You could open one up every day we weren't there and there were some dollar store surprises inside.

I was giggling as we put cranberries on your head at Maga's house. You told me about how last time you were there Daddy spilled them everywhere and made such a big mess. This time we kept it clean.

Tar Pits

Looking at bones is cool!

We did a few laps and you were asking a ton of "what's that?"

You held my hand the whole way and told me when you were ready to go.
