You are beyond talking up a storm lately. Full concepts, feelings and pretending! We spent today playing hide and go seek. I love that you tell me where you want me to hide "Mama, you go hide in the tub" and then count and hide your eyes. You have a few hiding spots. I think it is about 3. You rotate between them. I pretend I don't know where are and when I ask out loud "Is Miles in here?" I hear your little voice "No Mama!" and giggle.
At bath today your imagination kicked into overdrive. I have video but not going to make that public. I think we can giggle at that in the comfort of our own home.
"You be Zurg Mama" " Me Buzz Lightyear" and you grab your arm and shoot your laser at me. I was laughing so hard.
Taking the octopus and talking to the duck "Hi little Ghost. Hi Little Ghost. How was your day? Oh No... bunch of wawa in there" "You need wawa duck?" "Want this wawa?"
"Car is going to get ice" "Walrus, Walrus, where are you Walrus?" " You need ice?" "Car get ice Walrus"
At bed after our books were read and we snuggled in bed... we move onto talking about all the stuff we did today you made me giggle again. I mentioned how you went to Daddy's work. Right away you said. "M&Ms!"
"Did you eat M&Ms at Daddy's work?"
"Daddy said NO, Daddy said NO M&Ms"
" How did that make you feel?"
"Sad"
Then we went on to talking about eating his nose. How quickly they bounce back.
But wow Daddy you are heartless;) that kid doesn't forget a THING! Then as I was leaving he asked me to cuddle and to sleep in his big boy bed with him. It is SO HARD to say no but I do. You ask me every night and I know if I do we will start a terrible habit. But the fact you even want me around it enough to make me smile.

Saturday Sunset
4:00 Saturday we asked you if you wanted to go to the park, playground or beach. To our suprise, you wanted to go to beach! We drove on down and within minutes you were running around, laughing and pretending to be a choo choo train or making "snowman" in the sand (more like a sand angel) We ran around for about 45 minutes and then jumped off to sushi.

Some of the funny stuff
Lately you say things that crack me up...
Just a few of them
" I got an idea"
" the bug bad wolf blow my house down"
"put a nonut in my hand!"
" I eat fish heads mommy"
" wait a minute, stop right there"
"no say no mama"
" me pick a moooszee mama"
You love your mr potato head toy and those molars are finally breaking through. All that drool has left you with a chapped face that I combat all day.
Bed is still good at night but naps are harder.
I think a trim might be in your future for 2011 because your hair is outta control.

First Night
Tonight was your first night in your bed.. you fell asleep without a problem. I am sure it helped that you were exhausted from 2 days without a nap.
We watched a movie and I checked the monitor a few times to make sure you were okay. I wasn't getting the best view of you but I thought around 10:00 you were on the floor. Sure enough, you were. We went up and looked at you all snuggled on the rug. Not sure when you go there but I had to excuse myself because I was laughing so hard. Daddy gracefully put you back in bed and covered you up. Let's see how the rest of the night goes.
Switching rooms wasn't as bad as I thought. We had your new room all set up for you. You were excited to see all your toys there and wanted to play right away. I am sure it helped that we talked this room up for about 3 weeks. Tonight after bath I told you go to your room so we can put on PJs. You walked into your NEW room right away. I hope you settle into your routine there quickly as I know it is comforting to you.
The nursery looks so empty. I am slowly pulling out your old baby stuff to fill the bookcase and closet. It is hard to imagine you not going to bed every night in that crib anymore.
Your new room is more than 2x the size of your old one. More room to play and dump the toys. Will get some photos of the room in the daylight. We also took a video of you seeing your room for the first time, which I am sure we will never post.

Big boy
Just put you down for your first sleep. You cried for a bit. I had to go put you back into your room once because you just wanted to play with your toys. Finally sleeping sideways on the bed. Wonder what tonight brings. Love you Woogs

Brownies
Miles loves to be in the kitchen. Always has. He lately loves mixing. He has developed a love for my KitchenAid. Today he pushed his little step stool up to it and said "I gotta mix" so what is a pregnant girl to do but bust out the brownie mix. We were both happy within minutes.

Snow Day
On Monday we went to Kidspace with some good friends. It was a snow day there so you got your winter fix of the cold white stuff while we were there. You ran around and I could barely keep up with the crowd. You were excited to see a "snowman" and saved a chair during snack for Gracie to sit by you. You enjoyed "Party Time" and were so cute as you danced to the music.

Random Bits
1. Yesterday you told me you were frustrated. So cute and appropriate given the fact you were trying to fit together a puzzle.
2. This morning you ran down into the garage and grabbed your little broom. You then took it upstairs and used the end of it to try to get a toy that you just lost under the couch. I am still in shock that you figured this out on your own but impressed with your skill in figuring it out.
3. On a drive to get lunch yesterday Daddy and I were talking in the front seat. We weren't paying attention to you so instead of chanting "Daddy" over and over you threw in "Evan.... Daddy... Evan" I died!

Birthday Video
okay so i never posted birthday photos or videos... go figure.
A great friend took this video of miles singing at the party. He still sings "Happy Birthday" when you ask him to "sing you a song" So stinking cute! Now he sings "happy birthday mommydaddy" as if we are one person. I love it.

Another Day
Today was another day. We ran some errands and after nap you had a great surprise! Daddy was home! You ran downstairs to see him and found the tools out in the garage. You joined in the fun. Nothing like a bit of dirt and grease.
